Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the immediate direction of the Superintendent and/or designee the School Principal is responsible for the general management and immediate educational direction and supervision of the school.

Requirements / Qualifications

Appropriate California Administrative Credential and Master’s Degree. Must demonstrate the abilities as an educational leader; have sound educational philosophy; harmoniously with staff, students and parents; and be in good physical and mental health. Increasing responsibility and successful experience in the field of education as a teacher and Knowledge of the appropriate instructional strategies and materials. Evidence of recent advance student and training in educational leadership and management. The ability to establish a climate for learning and to generate staff involvement and support. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and community members. In-depth experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership. Ability to set goals and objectives in a cooperative working relationship with staff. Ability to supervise for the improvement of instruction. The ability to effectively apply appropriate discipline strategies. Educational philosophy that embraces high standards for both achievement and behavior.
