Requirements / Qualifications

Copy of one of the following valid credentials: California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential; PK-3 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialist Instruction Credential; General Kindergarten-Primary (K-3); General Elementary (K-8); Standard Early Childhood (P-3); Standard Elementary (K-9); Specialist Instruction Credential in Early Childhood Education Appropriately credentialed teachers first assigned to a transitional kindergarten classroom after July 1, 2015 must have one of the following: At least 24 units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or both; One year of professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children, as noted in Twain Harte Board Resolution 2024-2025-04-01; or a Child Development Teacher Permit, or an early childhood education specialist credential, issued from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). Copy of Transcripts (Showing Bachelor's degree); Letter of Introduction; 3 Current Letters of Reference; Resume Upon hiring, salary placement will be determined by the number of upper division/graduate level units earned from a WASC accredited four-year college or university. Units must be earned subsequent to the date of the Bachelor's degree. Maximum of 72 units credited. A maximum of 7 years credit is allowed for teaching experience in a public school (K-12), or an accredited private school (K-12). This position has been posted concurrently in-house and priority will be given to currently qualified district applicants.
