Job Summary

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Career Technical Education (CTE) Teacher to serve adult learners of varying skill levels and learning styles. A strong candidate will bring training and experience teaching Medical Assistant students, demonstrate a willingness to serve as a professional role model, and maintain flexibility to teach additional courses as needed. This position may be assigned to one or more of the following community-based school sites: • East Los Angeles • Lynwood • Hawthorne While the anticipated assignment is at one of our community-based locations, it is important to note that our organization also operates correctional facility–based school sites, including two locations in downtown Los Angeles and one in Lynwood. All teachers hired by the organization should be open to traveling between school sites and willing to teach in correctional settings, as this is an essential part of our mission and service model. Position Details: • Full-time: 32.5 hours per week • Eligible for benefits • Participation in CalSTRS required

Requirements to be considered for the Medical Assistant teacher position: -A valid California Teaching Credential in the following categories: Designated Subjects or Career Technical Education Teaching Credential in Health Science and Medical Technology industry sector, or other closely related area. -English Language Learner Authorization -Bilingual preferred
