Under the direction of the Site Administrator or designee, the Virtual Teacher (TK–12) provides high-quality, standards-aligned instruction in a remote learning environment. This position is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instructional programs that meet the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students in a non-classroom based independent study model. The Virtual Teacher fosters student engagement through synchronous and asynchronous instruction, maintains consistent communication with students and families, and ensures compliance with all state, federal, and school requirements. This role requires a highly organized, self-directed educator who is committed to student success, strong relationships, and Mojave River Academy’s mission and vision.
Requirements / Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university - Valid California Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject and/or Single Subject as appropriate) - English Learner Authorization (CLAD/EL Authorization) - Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience preferred
