Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Executive Assistant I. Under general direction of an Assistant Superintendent or a direct report to the Superintendent, an Executive Assistant I performs a wide variety of highly responsible, confidential and complex administrative, secretarial and operational support to an assigned department or program. The current assignment is located at the San Diego County Office of Education - Main Campus in San Diego, CA as part of the Communications division within SDCOE. Please note that while this current assignment is for the location listed, employees of SDCOE may be administratively reassigned to other locations based on organizational needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires any combination equivalent to education, training and experience which clearly demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities described in the job description. An example of qualifying experience and education would be: Associate’s degree and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience working for an administrator of a large and complex division, department or agency or responsible secretarial experience of comparable depth and breadth of assignment. Experience in an educational setting is desirable.

Type of examination(s) for this classification:
Applications will be reviewed, and candidates whose qualifications most closely match the classification requirements will be invited to participate in a competitive examination process. The examination process will consist of an application evaluation, a written examination, and an oral examination.
The results of this recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacancy and any other vacancies in this classification for the next six (6) months, or until the list is terminated.
