Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Chief Operations Officers (COO) oversees the critical operations and functions of the Human Resources and Business Services Departments, including: • Planning, organizing, directing all business operations of O’Farrell Charter Schools. • Directing the organization’s human resources functions, systems and procedures. • Assuring compliance with all related laws, rules, polices, codes, and regulations. • Working collaboratively with departments & site leaders to foster a team atmosphere. • Communicating effectively with all education partners to share information, resolve conflicts, and align efforts. • Fostering a climate of care and trust across the organization. • Exercising sound judgment and thoughtful decision making. • Working in tandem with the Superintendent to establish the organization's strategic direction. • Serving as a trusted member of the Executive Cabinet. • Serving as Superintendent designee, as appropriate

Requirements / Qualifications

- Degree from an accredited college or university in educational administration, personnel administration, business administration or closely related area (required) - Minimum five years of increasingly responsible supervisory and management experience in a public school district or public charter organization (required) - Valid Administrative Services Credential or CASBO CBO Certification (required) - Strong skills in Business Services and Human Resources functions; familiarity with multiple departments related to overall operations (preferred) - District-level or charter school administrative experience (preferred) - Proficiency in the California Professional Standards for Education Leaders (CPSEL)
