Golden Eagle Charter School is seeking an exceptional Special Education Program Manager to lead and strengthen our student-centered special education program in beautiful Siskiyou County. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator who wants to make a meaningful impact in a small, mission-driven public charter school serving TK-12 students through an innovative flex-based learning model. Shasta and Yreka school sites, with occasional travel to other areas of Siskiyou County as needed to support students, staff, meetings, or program operations. Why This Position Is Special: This is more than a traditional administration role. The Special Education Program Manager serves as a key member of the school leadership team and has the opportunity to shape systems, mentor staff, improve services, and directly influence outcomes for students with disabilities across a growing and innovative school. You will work closely with school leadership, teachers, Educational Facilitators, families, and outside partners to ensure students receive high-quality services in both independent study and site-based learning environments. Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight of the school’s special education program and related services. Supervise and support special education staff, paraeducators, and assigned team members. Ensure compliance with IDEA, IEP timelines, service delivery, and required documentation. Lead or support IEP meetings, student support meetings, and program planning. Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive and effective services. Requirements / Qualifications
Letter of Intent Resume 3 current letters of reference CA Teaching Credential
Desired Qualifications: Valid California Education Specialist Credential (or equivalent authorization). Administrative experience, leadership experience, or readiness to move into administration. Strong knowledge of special education law, compliance, and student-centered practices. Experience leading IEP meetings and supporting diverse learning needs. Excellent communication, organization, and team-building skills. Administrative Services Credential preferred, but not required. Ability to travel between school sites and throughout Siskiyou County as needed.
