The Speech & Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), under the supervision of the Director of Student Support Services and a credentialed Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP), follows and implements specialized speech and language instruction and services for students who have disorders of language and speech which includes hearing, voice, pragmatics/social communication, expressive/receptive language and fluency, as directed by the credentialed SLP; provides screenings without interpretation; consults and collaborates with teachers and parents regarding strategies which enable access to and progress in the general education curriculum. The Classical Academies is an organization of award-winning, tuition-free, California Public Charter Schools serving North San Diego County since 1999.
