About the Employer

The Goleta Union School District (GUSD) serves approximately 3,384 students in preschool through sixth grade across nine elementary schools. All schools offer transitional kindergarten and strong support services, including special education and mental health, in addition to after-school care at all nine schools supporting approximately 1,500 students. GUSD offers embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners across the district. Each school maintains a 1.0–1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. With small class sizes, a focus on a science based approach to literacy, STEAM, and strong community partnerships, GUSD is committed to a district vision providing powerful instruction, purposeful individualization, and productive partnerships that lead to positive evidence of student growth and success.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, while working flexible hours for either a day or night shift; communicate with District and site administrators related to the care, cleaning and maintenance of a school facility; perform custodial activities during a day or night shift at an assigned school site or facility to maintain buildings, office space and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition. Night shifts will include all maintenance and custodial activities as described above.
