Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Executive Director II, Learning Support Services, and/or Designee, the Coordinator of Language Development Programs plans, implements, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates instructional programs and services for English learner and immigrant students across the district. The Coordinator supports the implementation of integrated instructional programs aligned to the California Common Core Content Standards, California ELD Standards, and applicable frameworks for all grade levels, and ensures compliance with State and Federal laws. Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: Knowledge - of Title III federal programs, including applicable regulations and compliance requirements, and a deep understanding of current research and effective pedagogical practices that inform the design and continuous improvement of high-quality English Learner instructional program; project planning and management; language development program models including bilingual and dual immersion programs. Ability - to lead and facilitate groups effectively, build collaboration, guide problem-solving, and move initiatives forward; organize complex work, set priorities, and ensure timely and high-quality completion of projects; prepare, monitor, and manage budgets responsibly; proven capacity to design and deliver impactful professional learning that builds staff knowledge and instructional effectiveness; strong oral and written communication skills. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience and at least two (2) years of administrative/leadership experience. Experience preferred in dealing effectively with people at all levels. EDUCATION/CREDENTIAL: A California Administrative Credential, and a California Teaching or Pupil Personnel Credential. A Master’s degree in Educational Administration or related fields.
