Special Education Instructional Aide – SH (Two Positions Available: Elementary School & Middle School) Start Date: August 19, 2026 Schedule: 6 hours per day, Full-Time (Benefited Position) Salary Range: $17.63 – $24.62 per hour (placement based on experience; up to 15 years accepted) Position Summary: Under the general or direct supervision of certificated personnel, the Special Education Instructional Aide (SH) provides instructional support, behavioral supervision, and personal care to students with a range of needs. Duties Include: Assisting with instructional activities for individuals and small groups, both in and outside the classroom Supporting students with academic, behavioral, cognitive, communicative, emotional, physical, and/or social needs Providing behavioral support and supervision Assisting with personal care as needed Supporting implementation of student learning plans and activities Additional Information: This is a benefited position. Placement on the salary schedule is based on verified experience, with up to 15 years accepted.
Requirements / Qualifications
Possess a high school diploma or education equivalent to graduation from high school and passing score on District Proficiency Test or CBEST. Prefer equivalent to one year experience working with students requiring a specialized learning environment. and/or other school environment. Ability to be trained and certified in CPR and basic first aid. Tuberculin and fingerprint clearance are required.
