The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Food Services Quality Control Specialist. This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. BASIC FUNCTION: The Food Services Truck Driver drives a light truck used in the pick up and delivery of prepared hot and cold foods and supplies to school cafeterias. VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Food and Nutrition Services Department. Work Schedule: 10 months per year / 40 hours per week. Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to one year of recent, fulltime equivalent, paid driving experience involving the operation of light trucks or other commercial vehicles on public streets and highways. NOTE: Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application. Licenses and Other Requirements: Possession of a safe driving record for the last five years. Possession of a valid California driver’s license appropriate to the type of equipment and/or vehicle operated. Incumbents in this job Classified may be required to obtain a Classified B driver’s license. Must successfully pass an approved food service safety certification examination within 60 days after appointment. Personal hygiene appropriate to the needs of the position.
