Plaza de la Raza Child Development Services, Inc. operates a Head Start and Early Head Start program that provides comprehensive integrated services to children from birth to five years of age and is currently accepting bids for Registered Dietitian to provide consulting services that support the nutrition and well-being of children and families. Services to be provided from July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027. Requirements and Specifications: •Registered Dietitian certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). •Three (3) years of experience in health/nutrition services •Clearance from the State of California, FBI, and Child Abuse Central Index •Documentation of TB clearance, Tdap, MMR, and Influenza Immunizations (or flu vaccine waiver) •Verification of Liability Insurance Scope of Work: •Review, evaluate, and interpret child and pregnant participants health and nutrition screening forms, with an emphasis on children with identified nutritional concerns. •Conduct follow-up and provide individualized education to parents regarding their child’s nutritional needs. •Document all reviews in the database system, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in alignment with policies and procedures. •Plan and deliver parent and staff training to promote understanding of healthy nutrition and address specific dietary concerns. •Support the development and review of menus to ensure alignment with USDA/CACFP requirements and best practices for child nutrition. •Collaborate with staff to develop and review Individualized Nutritional Care Plans for children with special dietary needs. •Provide consultation on accommodating allergies, food sensitivities, or medical conditions requiring dietary modifications. •Conduct data entry and analysis related to child nutrition and health. •Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings •Perform other related duties as needed to ensure compliance with Head Start and USDA regulations.
