Comments and Other Information
WECS was started in 2012 by parents and volunteers who transformed a dirt lot into an amazing school that has ranked among the top three elementary schools in Mendocino County in language arts and math. We are committed to providing high-quality education to all students that includes literacy intervention in support of classroom teachers and students. Our "specials" teachers provide enrichment periods in Spanish, art, music, gardening, and physical education. Students can also participate in raising chickens, camp experiences, and a robust afterschool program. We are a small school with one class per grade level and about 24 students in each grade.
Please send a resume and letter of introduction along with a copy of your credential and three references to our director, Charlene Bredder, at charlene@willitsk5charter.org or apply through EdJoin.
