Job Summary

The Teacher on Special Assignment, New Teacher Support, 40%, will provide structured, proactive support for first- and second-year certificated staff while partnering closely with the Director of Human Resources, Director of Education Services, and Director of Special Education to align onboarding, mentorship, and evaluation systems. This role will strengthen best-first instruction by supporting administrators with classroom observation look-fors, coaching practices, and revising certificated evaluation tools to reflect current CSTPs, including the development of aligned instruments for related service providers. The TOSA will also collaborate with Human Resources to research and recommend a digital evaluation portal that improves efficiency, clarity, and coherence across the district because we value our employees and their professional growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities •New Certificated Staff Support •Strengthen employee engagement by building clarity, coherence, and confidence for new staff, because we value our employees. •Provide structured, proactive support for first and second-year certificated staff across the district. •Collaborate with Education Services to align new teacher supports to best first instruction and district instructional priorities. •Support site administrators with evaluation readiness and instructional coaching, including classroom observation look fors, evidence collection, feedback conversations, and growth-aligned coaching cycles. •Assist in revising the Certificated Evaluation forms to ensure alignment with current CSTPs and district instructional priorities. •Work with the Director of Human Resources to research, evaluate, and recommend a digital evaluation portal that improves efficiency, transparency, compliance, and alignment with district evaluation practices. •Implement a standardized New Teacher Checklist and beginning-of-year check-ins to ensure every new hire receives consistent onboarding, timely support Please submit the online application and attach the following: •Letter of interest, attention Mark Miller, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources •A current resume
