POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Principal, instruct a self contained 6th grade classroom utilizing the state content standards and course of study adopted by the school DUTIES – E=Essential Duties E Provides individual or small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students and accommodates circumstances where a variety of projects and experiments are being worked on simultaneously E; establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior for a productive learning environment during class sessions E; communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress E; participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities E; other responsibilities as detailed in the Albany Teacher Job Description E; other duties as assigned E; selects books and instructional aids to achieve instructional goals and behavioral objectives E; adapts material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge pupils E; participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school and on the district level E Requirements: 1. 5. CLAD Certification
