This course prepares students to understand and apply the core principles of modern supply chain management, logistics, and advanced automation systems. Students explore how materials, information, and products move through global supply chains, with emphasis on procurement, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, distribution, and continuous improvement. Instruction integrates hands-on learning with industry-standard automation, robotics, and smart manufacturing systems aligned to Industry 4.0 practices. The instructor will deliver engaging, project-based instruction that connects classroom learning to real-world applications in logistics, distribution, automation, and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain operations, industrial automation, workforce development, or career technical education, with the ability to prepare students for both postsecondary pathways and high-demand careers in logistics and supply chain management Thank you!
Requirements / Qualifications
YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS: 1. CTE Credential in the area of Logistics Transportation Sector, or qualify for this credential based on three (3) years of full-time (paid or unpaid) industry experience (or a combination of applicable college credits and industry experience), as well as a high school diploma. Specific credential information may be found here: https://www.lacoe.edu/Curriculum-Instruction/Career-Technical-Education/CTE-Credentials. The associated costs for the preliminary CTC credential will be at the employee’s expense. 2. English Learner Compliance: If you don't have an English Learner Authorization you will be required to apply for an emergency/waiver permit with the CTC as a condition of employment. During the first year of employment, you will need to earn the English Learner Authorization certificate by coursework, exam, or a combination of coursework and exam.
