Job Summary

Healdsburg Unified is seeking candidates interested in serving in our HJH Summer School program. The HJH summer school program is designed for rising 7th and 8th grade students and centers on a hands-on, project-based STEM experience with a focus on culinary science. Students will explore the science behind food by designing and developing their own food concepts—such as creating mock food trucks, experimenting with recipes, and understanding the chemistry of cooking. The program emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem solving, while also offering opportunities to connect learning beyond the classroom through potential local field experiences. The program will be offered in ONE session, 6/8-6/26, which includes a preparation day for staff on the Monday and the program will begin on Tuesday. Work hours will likely be 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. No Summer School will take place on Friday, June 19th for the Juneteenth national holiday during the first session.
