POSITION(S): Agriculture Teacher - Probationary Status Sections will tentatively include the following: Agricultural Science Pathway Animal Science Pathway JOB SUMMARY: This position includes an extended 30 additional workday contract and an FFA stipend for assistance with FFA leadership activities, speaking contests, judging teams, livestock SAEs, etc. Our facilities include a welding shop, ag woodshop, on-campus school farm, floral coolers, shade house, and greenhouse. REQUIREMENTS: Valid California teaching credential with an authorization to teach Agriculture Science in grades 9-12 Valid California Specialist Teaching credential with an authorization in Agricultural Science CLAD/BCLAD/EL Authorization (Emergency permits are not accepted) Valid California Driver’s license Proof of Automobile Insurance that meets minimum district insurance requirements Upon hire, must receive an approved DMV clearance to transport students Must maintain eligibility to transport students for duration of employment. WORK DAYS: Up to 214 days, 1.0 FTE/ Year round position which includes weekends and overnights. Days dependent upon the actual start date of July 1, 2026 forward. Position is required to start on July 1, 2026 and participate as an adviser for fair duties in July 2026, which include advisory duties associated with the Santa Barbara County Fair - see 2026 Exhibitor Guidebook for more information SALARY: Annual entry level salary placement from $70,414 to $118,758 for a full time position.
