Job Summary
Under the direction of a Site Administrator and the Director of Special Education, provides instruction, assessment and program planning for Special Education students; monitors and evaluates student progress and behavior; researches, obtains and provides instructional materials for Special Education services; serves as informational resource for students, parents, teachers and /or other District personnel; works within a self-contained classroom and within the general education classroom to ensure students’ individual needs are being met.
Requirements / Qualifications
Certificated employment application, Valid CA credential authorizing mild/moderate -OR- learning handicapped, CLAD or BCLAD (Spanish) authorization, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) compliant
Added authorization in: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Deaf-Blind, Orthopedically Impaired, Other Health Impairment, and Traumatic Brain Injury (or willingness to obtain added authorizations during first year of employment)
