Job Summary
Directly reports to the school site principal. The English/AP Seminar teacher facilitates a student-driven, inquiry-based curriculum, instructing high school students (often 10th-12th grade) to analyze complex, cross-curricular topics. They guide students in constructing arguments, conducting research, and enhancing presentation skills to prepare them for AP Capstone assessments, team projects, and college-level academic writing.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Possession of a valid Single Social English Language Arts credential with a CLAD/BCLAD authorization • Required or willing to obtain AP certification • Three years of teaching AP Seminar in a high school setting highly desirable • CPR / First Aid certification required or willingness to enroll in program
