Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of the English as a Second Language Coordinator, the instructor will plan, carry out, evaluate, and supervise instructional activities for groups of students in the ESL program. Instructors will deliver a curriculum that enables listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English to help prepare adult students for success at work, in an academic setting, and greater participation in the community.

Adult Education Credential with an ESL designation (DSAE Credential) OR K-12 Credential: ? Option A - Multiple Subject Credential OR ? Option B - Designated Subject (Single Subject) Credential with authorization to teach ESL and 12 hours of upper division credits in English, Languages or Communications. Preferred: CLAD Credential; TESOL or TEFL Certificates; specialized training or certificate
