Requirements / Qualifications

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent two-years of college education. Prior experience with special needs children and training in appropriate use of physical restraint techniques (i.e. CPI or PAR) preferred.

Finalists must submit fingerprint livescan for Department of Justice clearance, high school diploma or highest level of education completed document and provide TB clearance results that have been done within last 60 days.

WE ARE HIRING THREE NEW 1:1 BEHAVIORAL AIDES FOR OUR SPECIAL EDUCATION SCHOOL IN TORRANCE!! We need 1:1 Behavioral Aides for our diploma track and certificate track programs OUR PROGRAMS: • The Certificate Track Program serves students with mild, moderate and/or severe autism. • The Diploma Track Program serves students from 3rd-12th grade with social, emotional and behavioral challenges. POSITION DETAILS: • This position is Monday through Friday. • 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. daily . • The position starts ASAP. QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent two-years of college education. • Minimum 2 years experience working with special needs children. • Training in appropriate use of physical restraint techniques (i.e. CPI or PAR) preferred. POSITION EXPECTATIONS: • Assist in supervising, teaching and coaching one child with specific learning, social and emotional disabilities according to his or her Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives. • Implement behavior support plans and positive behavior reinforcement program as needed. • Work with credentialed teacher who nurtures children who learn differently in classes with a maximum of 12 students. • Mature person to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, parents, and personnel from other agencies. • Dependable, responsible and resourceful role model for students. COMPENSATION: • $15.20 per hour with training • paid sick time accrual • Full Time Employee Benefits include: medical, vision, long term disability and life insurance paid fully for employees and 50% for dependents/spouse. • Possible overtime hours available for those who would like to drive our students to-and-from school (must be pre-approved with supervisor and insurance carrier). • Ongoing company paid training provided. • Company sponsored luncheons! • Friendly atmosphere. • Opportunity for growth!!! In a supportive and therapeutic environment, students with an IEP eligibility of ED, SLD, SLI, AUT, and OHI receive special education instruction, counseling, language & speech, structured reading and math intervention classes, behavioral analysis/interventions and psychological /educational assessments.
