About the Employer
The Goleta Union School District (GUSD) serves approximately 3,384 students in preschool through sixth grade across nine elementary schools. All schools offer transitional kindergarten and strong support services, including special education and mental health, in addition to after-school care at all nine schools supporting approximately 1,500 students. GUSD offers embedded programs to address specific needs of gifted students and English Learners across the district. Each school maintains a 1.0–1.5 full time positions to support intervention needs for all students. With small class sizes, a focus on a science based approach to literacy, STEAM, and strong community partnerships, GUSD is committed to a district vision providing powerful instruction, purposeful individualization, and productive partnerships that lead to positive evidence of student growth and success.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director - Expanded Learning Program, plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and participate in program operations and activities under the Educational Services Department, such as the After School program and Summer Learning program; design and analyze programs in coordination with Educational Services objectives; serve as a liaison to Educational Services programs, such as the Expanded Learning Programs; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; and assist the Director in the overall management of assigned programs.

Minimum of five (5) years of successful school-based experience working with school-age children, especially students with diverse backgrounds, required.
Minimum of 2 years elementary instructional support/leadership experience.
Experience in design and delivery of professional development services.
Experience with student discipline and behavior support programs.
Demonstrated leadership and expertise in management of educational programs.
Valid California driver’s license and insurance coverage required by law.
Bilingual/biliterate, preferred.
