THE OPPORTUNITY: The Associate Principal of Academic Excellence and Professional Learning (AP Academic Excellence and Professional Learning) is a visionary and collaborative academic leader dedicated to fostering instructional quality, faculty development, and curricular innovation at Salesian College Preparatory. Grounded in the school’s Catholic and Salesian values of reason, religion, and loving kindness, this role supports student achievement and faculty excellence through coaching, data-driven interventions, and culturally responsive pedagogy. The role also leads academic systems, in partnership with school leaders, to ensure that every student thrives academically. ACCOUNTABILITY: • Reports to the Vice President/Principal • Supervises the Faculty • Supervises the Department Chairs and Curriculum Council • Works in partnership with counselors and administrative colleagues • Supervises instructional programs and professional development structures • Participates in leadership and instructional strategy meetings QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field • Administrative Credential (preferred) • Teaching credential • At least five years of secondary-level teaching experience • Experience with instructional coaching or academic leadership • Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching, growth mindset, and adolescent learning SALARY & BENEFITS • Full Time Exempt • Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000 DOE • Onsite (no remote option) TO APPLY: Please submit the following to application@salesian.com • Cover letter that expresses your interest and fit for leading a Catholic high school • Current resume that includes dates for all degrees, certifications, and experience • Statement of educational leadership philosophy and practice in a Catholic high school
