Job Summary
Under direction of the Principal, the Library Aide will provide library services relating to the acquisition, circulation, distribution and recovery of library books; assist students and teachers in the selection, location and use of library materials, including computerized library, reference and learning systems. Ability to provide assistance in preparing and planning book talks and storytelling. The primary role of the Library Aide is engagement with children (TK-8th grade); developing relationships, and bringing content that activates their imaginations and interest in reading books, helping them with their reading comprehension and fluency. Maintain library in a neat and orderly condition.

Minimum Requirements • Offer of employment contingent upon successful Department of Justice background check and passing a Tuberculosis Assessment. The Lagunitas School District offers two educational programs, Elementary (TK-5), and Middle School (6-8). Our community school is located in Marin County, 6 miles west of Fairfax off Sir Frances Drake Boulevard. We are a small, rural school district with 165 students tucked away in the beautifully scenic woodland of the unincorporated San Geronimo Valley.
