Job Summary
The Upper School Math Teacher plays an integral role in delivering engaging, rigorous, and student-centered instruction in mathematics courses ranging from 9th through 12th grade, with potential for advanced coursework. This position supports the academic and social-emotional development of students, building meaningful connections between mathematical concepts, real-world applications, and the broader mission of St. Margaret’s Episcopal School.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field. • 3+ years of full-time classroom teaching experience. • Strong instructional skills with proven classroom management and communication abilities. • Comfort with educational technology and innovative teaching practices. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team-based environment. Preferred • Master’s degree in mathematics, math education, or a closely related field. • Clear California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics. • Experience teaching grades 9–12. • Experience teaching statistics or AP Statistics. • Experience supporting students with varying levels of math proficiency. • Experience in independent schools.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
• Salary Range: $73,000 - $87,000
• Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance
• Paid Time Off: 10 Faculty wellness days
• Retirement: 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer contribution
• Additional: Tuition Remission, Salary Continuance Plan, Wee Tartan Childcare Center (upon availability)
