Job Summary

The Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher has the specific responsibility to plan and implement a learning environment that meets the unique needs of our special education students in an Independent Study virtual setting. The teacher will instruct special education students in accordance with established policies and procedures; develop and implement IEP goals; assess students; assign duties to classified personnel; oversee the classified staff’s interaction with students; provide input to the administration concerning the performance of students assigned to their classroom or program; and perform other duties as required by law.

Must hold a baccalaureate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited institution. Valid California Credential in Special Education, Mild/Moderate, with appropriate authorization. Possess a CLAD or BCLAD authorization. Possess Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Authorization.
