St. Vincent de Paul College Prep provides a 21st-century education in a small but diverse learning community. OPPORTUNITY This is an ideal position for a dynamic STEM/Math instructor who shares our commitment to reflective practices and continuous improvement of craft. We believe in leading by example and therefore seek to hire faculty whose approach to teaching and learning embodies the skills and values we strive to instill in our students. Preference will be given to applications that demonstrate meaningful prior experience with: student-centered instruction, project- or problem-based inquiry (aka PBL or PBI), and/or cross-curricular connections to the various STEM/MATH and Humanities disciplines. Our current need is for a full-time instructor to teach 5 classes in our STEM/Math department, primarily in Math and Physics. Ideal candidates would also be able to teach Introductory Engineering and Computer Science as an elective.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS --- B.A. or B.S. required; credential and/or graduate degree preferred. --- 3+ years classroom teaching or equivalent experience, ideally across a range of levels. --- Applicants new to or returning to the classroom are encouraged to apply provided they bring requisite prior experience with pedagogical practices, youth development, STEM content domain expertise.
