MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. 2. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in governmental or school district finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position. 3. Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and financial reporting required. 4. Knowledge of Arizona school finance, including the Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR) and applicable state and federal regulations, preferred. 5. Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit preparation required. 6. Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets, and standard office applications required. 7. Experience in an Arizona public school district preferred. 8. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
