Within our John Muir Charter Schools Student Supports & Services Department, we empower underserved high school youth through flexible, relationship-driven education grounded in Dr. Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model in Education (NME). We facilitate regulatory supports and strong relationships to help our students build the foundation for higher-level reasoning and learning. We’re hiring a dynamic Education Specialist/IEP Case Manager for a long-term substitute role in Salinas, CA, at our Rancho Cielo campus, from April 27th, 2026 through June 12th, 2026 Monday–Friday, 8am to 4pm. This position will report directly to site leadership and the coordinator of our Student Supports & Services Department to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive high-quality, meaningful, and individualized support. In this role, you’ll deliver Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) service minutes aligned to student IEPs, lead case management responsibilities, and collaborate closely with general education staff and IEP service providers, including school counselors, behavior analysts, and speech and language therapists, to ensure a coordinated, trauma-assumed approach to student success.If you’re driven to make an impact and thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment, we’d love to connect. · Credential (Required): A valid California credential authorizing services as a Resource Specialist Education Specialist Instruction Credential or Resource Specialist Certificate or Education Specialist Instruction credential authorizing (Mild/Moderate and/or Moderate/Severe) or Specialist Instruction (Learning Handicapped and/or Severely Handicapped) credential and a Resource Specialist Certificate. · Credential Authorization: (may be required): Autism Authorization

· Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) OTHER REQUIREMENTS: These requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance.
