Requirements / Qualifications

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on school buildings and equipment; and to do related work as required. Positions in class are assigned a variety of tasks in the building trades area, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. Although the work requires the use of journeyman level tools and the ability to perform operations in the areas mentioned above, an incumbent is not expected to be a fully qualified journeyman level worker in all of these areas. Training, Experience, and Educational Requirements: Three years of responsible experience in one or more of the building trades or any combination of training and/or experience that would likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
