Bellevue Union School District is seeking a dynamic, equity-focused, and student-centered 1st Grade Teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2026-2027 school year. As a foundational school year teacher, our first grade educators play a pivotal role in fostering academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and leadership skills in our students. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who is committed to knowing every student "by name, strength, and need." You will join a supportive school community that values diverse cultures, multilingual learning, and innovative instructional practices. Key Responsibilities: Instructional Excellence: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, utilizing data-driven strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Classroom Culture: Establish a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes student agency, critical thinking, and mutual respect. Equity & Inclusion: Implement culturally responsive teaching practices and provide differentiated instruction, including support for English Learners and students with specialized learning plans (IEPs/504s). Collaboration: Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), grade-level planning, and district-wide professional development to continuously refine instructional impact. Community Engagement: Maintain proactive and positive communication with families to support student progress and foster a strong home-school partnership. Qualifications & RequirementsCredential: Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.Authorization: English Learner (EL) Authorization required. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution. Mindset: A strong belief that all children can learn and a passion for serving a diverse student population.
