Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight of Preschool–12 curriculum, instruction, assessment, and academic intervention systems across the district. This role ensures standards-aligned, vertically and horizontally coherent instructional programs while leading the design and implementation of high-impact tutoring and expanded learning systems that accelerate student achievement. The Director of C&I oversees instructional materials, data analysis, and evidence-based practices, aligning Community Schools initiatives and whole-child supports to strengthen academic outcomes. With a strong focus on equity, the position prioritizes English Learners and underserved student populations, driving measurable growth in student achievement, reclassification rates, and academic coherence across the instructional day and expanded learning programs.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum three (3) years of Principal or District Level experience; • Minimum five (5) years of successful teaching or certificated service experience; • Experience in curriculum development and implementation; • Position contingent upon grant funding.
