Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Pupil Services and Superintendent, the nurse shall organize, implement and evaluate the health service program to strengthen the educational process through improvement of the health status and knowledge of children. The Nurse shall work with other District employees and parents in creating an overall work environment conducive to appropriate learning.
Requirements / Qualifications
Successful completion of a Nursing Program resulting in a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Must have or be eligible for a School Nurse Credential.

Mountain Empire Unified School District encompasses over 660 square miles of foothills, high desert and mountainous terrain in the eastern part of San Diego County. It serves over 1750 students in grades pre k-adult. There are four elementary schools, two middle schools and a comprehensive high school. The district also operates three Preschool Programs and an alternative education program. Mountain Empire Unified School District is located in the mountain range dividing the metropolitan area of San Diego and the deserts of Imperial County. It is approximately 50 miles east of San Diego.
