Full Time Head Teacher, High School for Fall 2026 Star Academy, a non-profit, non-public school, located in San Rafael, CA, serving students with learning differences in grades 3-post-secondary, is seeking a Full-Time, High School Lead Teacher for Fall 2026. This teacher would be leading a high school class of up to 12 students with moderate learning differences. This teacher will lead academics primarily in ELA as well as support instruction delivered by specialists. The teaching team in this classroom includes assistant teachers and a team of specialists with expertise in Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, Behavior, Assistive technology, and Transition/Living Skills. Star Academy’s mission is to help Special Education students with complex learning differences experience academic success through a multisensory approach. Experience with IEP documents and the IEP process Strong classroom management skills. Strong communication skills. Duties of this teacher will include but may not be limited to: Writing evidence-based IEPs.
