Suncoast is seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Specialist (ES) for a distinctive role at our charter school. A Suncoast Educational Specialist is an innovator who inspires and supports the education needs of Independent-Study/Homeschool families by facilitating an individualized education, while providing academic and operational support. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent organization that includes stellar verbal/written communication skills, work well in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate flexibility, caring, and responsiveness while carrying out their duties. Duties include administrative responsibilities, required paperwork, participation in all staff meetings, training and/or sessions, and supporting students in meeting their educational goals ensuring success in an independent study environment as outlined below. Regular hours for this position are Monday through Friday during school hours, and on additional days and times as needed to participate in functions and career learning opportunities.
Requirements / Qualifications
~ Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field ~ A valid, current, and clear California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential ~ EL Authorization (ELA)/CLAD (or equivalent) required ~ Experience with homeschool or independent study programs strongly preferred ~ Proficiency with instructional and communication technology (Google Workspace, Zoom, and similar platforms) ~ Ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment while maintaining clear communication and accountability
