Job Summary
We’re seeking dedicated and bilingual (English/Spanish) testers to administer brief, essential reading assessments in grades K-2. This will provide our educators with valuable information regarding students’ primary language reading skills or progress on their English foundational skills. To do this, you’ll use mClass DIBELS/Lectura, which is a series of one-minute measures in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension that will help us monitor progress or predict risk of reading difficulties.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications High school diploma or the equivalent Understanding of the general needs and behavior of children ages 4-8 Ability to interact positively with both adults and children Native or near-native fluency in both spoken and written English and Spanish, with clear pronunciation, natural intonation, and fluency Ability to work collaboratively with others Basic clerical skills, including attention to detail and record-keeping Time management skills Comfort and willingness to learn and use an online assessment tool
Requirements Work with students individually and in group settings depending on the grade level assessment measure Attend mandatory trainings on how to administer the assessments accurately and efficiently Conduct assessments during the following windows (Note: Assessments must be complete by the last day. The work period will end once the assessments are complete). May 6- May 27: English Assessments (Grades K-2 at Sherman Oaks) Training Day 4/30/26 8:30am-11:30am September 2026 Dates TBD Spanish Assessments (Grades 1-2 at 9 schools) January 2027 Dates TBD Spanish Assessments (Grade K at 9 schools) May 2027 Dates TBD English Assessments (Grades K-2 at Sherman Oaks) Maintain strict confidentiality of student information by adhering to and signing a confidentiality affidavit Available at least 3 days a week during school hours (typically between 8:00am - 3:00pm except Wednesdays which end an hour earlier.)
