JOB TITLE: Classroom Teacher - Upper grade level DEADLINE: Applications will be received until that date or until position is filled LOCATION: Loyalton Elementary School, Loyalton, CA, for Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District, Sierra County. School serves grades TK/5 with an average enrollment of 200 students served by ten certificated staff and other support personnel. Applicant must appreciate a rural community environment. SALARY: Up to $84,130 per year beginning salary. Maximum fifteen years credit for teaching experience may be granted for initial placement on the salary schedule BENEFITS: Generous health insurance benefits ($17,536 annual employer contribution), CalSTRS retirement; sick leave ASSIGNMENT: Beginning August 2026. Full time, 182 day work year, traditional school calendar August-June DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision of the school site administrator, a credentialed teacher will provide an educational program for pupils in a self-contained classroom school environment. The employee will provide an educational environment that encourages productive, responsible citizens and is accountable for the safety and welfare of all students.
