The Lagunitas School District is a public transitional kindergarten through 8th grade school district in West Marin. Our campus is set among hundreds of acres of open space in the beautiful San Geronimo Valley. We are rooted in a long history of family engagement and holistic educational practices. The current enrollment of 169 students attend our unique elementary and middle school programs. Our mission at Lagunitas is to foster joyful, active learning in a student-centered environment that emphasizes the arts, nature, and meaningful inquiry. We believe empathy, creativity, and advocacy are necessary to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world. As a community school in partnership with our local community center, we provide the resources students and families need for integrated opportunities, holistic support, and lifelong learning.
