Pacific Grove High School (PGHS) is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as our Head Varsity Football Coach. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to lead a respected program while positively impacting student-athletes through character development, teamwork, and academic success. The Head Varsity Football Coach serves as the leader of the entire football program (Frosh, JV, and Varsity), responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment that supports the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must have prior coaching and participating experience in the defined sport. Varsity Head Coaching experience strongly preferred. Varsity Coordinator experience (Offensive, Defensive, or Special Teams) with demonstrated leadership responsibilities. Experience working with high school-aged students. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and positive student outcomes. Ability to provide DOJ Fingerprint Clearance, a valid CPR/First Aid Card, and TB Clearance. Mandated Reporter Certificate. Knowledge of CIF rules and high school athletics regulations
