Job Summary
The Special Day Class (SDC) Teacher at Ararat Charter School is responsible for providing specialized instruction and individualized support to students with mild to moderate disabilities within a self-contained classroom setting. This role includes developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive environment where all students can succeed. The SDC Teacher collaborates closely with general education staff, service providers, and families to support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth. This individual is compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering independence, confidence, and meaningful progress in every student.
