BASIC FUNCTION:
As directed by the immediate supervisor, assists in the preparation of food, serves food from the central kitchen, and assists in the cleaning of the cafeteria.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Assist in the preparation of food.
· Serves food and/or monitors the serving of food.
· Washes dishes and assists in the proper maintenance of the food service areas.
· Stacks food items at serving units.
· Transports food to various school sites.
· Provides assistance in inventory control, as required.
· Provides other food service duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
· Demonstrates ability to interact and work well with students, staff and parents.
· Demonstrates neatness and tidiness in the work place.
· Demonstrate an ability to follow and give oral and written directions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma and food services training desired
OR
· An equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Valid California Driver’s license.
