Job Summary
Plans, directs, and manages the activities and operations of the Child Nutrition department including the leadership over catering, cafeterias, and staff, purchasing of food products and supplies, inventory control, budget administration, nutrition, menu management, and meal distribution.
Requirements / Qualifications
Compensation: $8,694 - $11,096 (Range 128, Classified Management) Full-time contracted position with benefits package which includes health, dental, and vision coverage for the employee and eligible dependents. Vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and life insurance coverage for the employee. Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent educational experience, with academic major or concentration in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field; or -Bachelor’s degree in any academic major and at least five (5) years of experience on management of SNPs; or -High school diploma or GED and at least 10 years or more of school nutrition program experience. Selection Process: The selection process will include screening to ensure application and supplemental questionnaire is complete and applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include two oral panel exams scheduled for April 23, 2026; a Leadership panel and a Technical panel. A passing score of 70% is required on each exam. An eligibility list will be established and all passing candidates from the list will receive a departmental interview. All examinations are based on the job description for the position.
