Position Overview Lower Elementary Teachers play a vital role in creating classrooms where students are known, challenged, encouraged, and inspired. Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards - Create a nurturing, organized, and positive classroom culture - Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview into daily instruction - Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records - Communicate regularly with parents regarding student growth and classroom activities - Build strong relationships with students and families - Collaborate with colleagues and administration to strengthen school programs - Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications Ideal candidates will pos

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field Valid teaching credential preferred (or willingness to obtain a credential) Experience teaching middle school students preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Christian education

Forest Lake Christian School (“FLCS”) is an independent, coeducational day school serving students from Preschool through Grade 12. Nestled in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills between Auburn and Grass Valley along Highway 49, the school is located near the community of Lake of the Pines. FLCS operates on two beautiful campuses located approximately two miles apart. The elementary school campus serves Preschool through Grade 5, while the secondary campus serves middle and high school students. The rural setting provides a safe, peaceful, park-like environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive. Both campuses feature spacious classrooms and excellent facilities, including an auditorium, two gymnasiums, playgrounds, indoor and outdoor dining areas, tennis courts, and athletic fields for soccer, baseball, and softball.
