BUSD is looking to hire passionate educators to fill some of our itinerant K-8 music teaching roles. We have needs in Middle School Jazz and Elementary Instrumental Music, as well as High School Chorus. We welcome candidates who can anchor one of these specialties while rounding out their schedule with elementary instrument-specific classes. Your final assignment will be a curated mix drawn from the following areas and based on your expertise: - Middle School Jazz: Directing ensembles, teaching improvisation, and exploring diverse jazz repertoire. - Middle School Band: Directing concert ensembles, refining ensemble technique, and selecting repertoire that bridges foundational skills with advanced performance. - Beginning Instrumental (Grades 4–5): Teaching foundational technique for Winds, Brass, or Strings to prepare students for middle school ensembles. - General Music (Grades 1–3): Inspiring a lifelong love of music through movement, singing, and theory. - High School Chorus: Cultivating a vibrant chorus community, leading ensembles through advanced vocal technique and managing performance logistics. Key Responsibilities - Deliver a diverse, culturally responsive curriculum that motivates students at every stage of development. - Prepare students for concerts, festivals, and community performances relevant to your assigned ensembles. - Collaborate with the district arts team to ensure a cohesive musical pathway for students K-8. - Travel between school sites (itinerant status) as required by your custom schedule.

**Teachers hired on Emergency, Intern, or (STSP/PIP) Credentials have a salary range of $56,369 to $72,749** (Credit given for up to 20 years)
