EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination equivalent to:
- Education: Master's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration or related field AND
- Experience: Five years increasingly responsible experience in school district auditing, budgeting and administration including at least three years in an administrative capacity.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Valid California driver's license

THE POSITION
The Business, Facilities, & Operations Division is now accepting applications for Director III - District Business Advisory Services.
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent - Business Services, plans, organizes, controls, directs and provides fiscal oversight of school districts as mandated by the California Education Code; directs and supervises the preparation, monitoring, reviewing, auditing, and approval of fiscal and attendance transactions for school districts within Santa Clara County Office of Education; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel. The ideal candidate will have school district experience in budgeting and accounting. Experience in Assembly Bill (AB) 1200 school districts fiscal oversight experience is highly desired. This person will be a great interpersonal communicator with strong leadership skills. This position is full-time, in-person and has a work year of 12 months, 260 days, 8 hours per day. Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provided official documentation is submitted.To learn more about this position, please click here to view the job description.

- Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities, tentatively scheduled for May 11, 2026..
- Second interviews may be held in-person.
