Job Summary

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate religion lessons for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Inspire students to deepen their relationship with God and grow as faith leaders, especially in mentoring and modeling for younger students on campus.

Prepare students for and coordinate participation in the Sacrament of Reconciliation twice per year during Advent and Lent.Support and guide students in actively participating in school liturgies, including facilitating roles such as altar serving, reading, and music as assigned throughout the school year. Lead 8th grade students in preparing and performing the Passion Play on Holy Thursday. Integrate the Education in Virtue program into the religion curriculum to support students’ moral and character development. Teach the Circle of Grace curriculum in accordance with diocesan guidelines. Plan and coordinate Faith Family activities in collaboration with 8th grade student leaders. Facilitate and support student participation in service learning opportunities, ensuring students meet required service hours and reflect on their experiences. Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the spiritual life of the school community.Communication & CollaborationUpdate the Assignment Board daily. Communicate with parents regarding classroom learning and important updates when necessary. Partner with families to support academic and behavioral growth.Provide constructive, solution-oriented feedback to parents when concerns arise.Attend and actively participate in faculty meetings. Engage professionally and collaboratively with colleagues.Additional DutiesPerform up to two yard duty assignments per week.Support school-wide initiatives and contribute positively to the school community. Be available during Parent-Teacher conferences.Attend Professional Development days hosted by the Diocese. Volunteer to participate on one school committee.
