Special Education Resource Specialist Teacher (Hybrid) At Method Schools, we continuously advance educational systems to provide families access to non-traditional learning communities and to promote their right to a transformational education. At Method Summit Academy, our mission is to ignite a passion for growth and development through transformative academic and athletic experiences that nurture individuality and build character for all students. Method Summit Academy operates under Method Schools Corporation on the Dehesa Elementary School campus. Method Summit Academy is part of Dehesa Method Sports Academy, a joint program run collaboratively by Method Schools and Dehesa Elementary School District. The Special Education Teacher serves a key role in monitoring and supporting special education students. This role oversees a caseload of Special Education students, provides Specialized Academic Instruction in accordance with individualized education plans, and uses a variety of student performance data to align with those plans and ensure academic growth and overall success. This teacher will work on campus with students enrolled at Method Summit Academy, as well as with students enrolled in rigorous online courses through Method Schools that require consistent instructional support. The Special Education Teacher works closely with instructional staff and the Special Education department to ensure the student's progress and overall success. The Special Education teacher reports to the Special Education Director. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized academic instruction to special education students. Instruct and support students in accordance with the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives. Design activities and lessons to engage students in appropriately challenging work aligned to grade level standards.
