Job Summary

Job Summary

Butler Academic Center A fully accredited educational program for youth detained in Alameda County's Juvenile Justice Center. While completing their high school diplomas students have the opportunity to earn college credits through dual enrollment. Camp Wilmont Sweeney A residential program for adolescent males, ages 15-19, detained in Alameda County's Juvenile Justice Center. In addition to a fully accredited educational program, youth have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular opportunities and earn college credit through a dual enrollment. Quest Academy This program is available to students in grades 7-12 in Alameda County. Expelled and probation-referred youth receive wrap around services that support completion of their individualized educational and rehabilitation plans. Infant & Family Support Program A no-cost-to-families program that serves infants and toddlers with special needs. Early intervention specialists partner with families to promote children's development and learning in everyday activities within their family and community. Parenting Teen Programs We run two schools for any parenting teens in Alameda County, one in Oakland (Hobbs Academy) and one in Hayward (Burke Academy). Each location includes free, high quality on-site child care so that students can focus on completing their high school graduation requirements as well as planning for their post high school lives. Opportunity Academy An independent study high school for students ages 16 and older who have separated from or struggled in traditional settings. Through personalized instruction-including one-to-one, small group, and blended learning-the school supports students in earning a diploma while building employment readiness and career pathways.
